2.Product Description:

 

Brivaracetam (trade name Briviact), a chemical analog of levetiracetam, is a racetam derivative with anticonvulsant (antiepileptic) properties.

Briviact (brivaracetam) is a selective, high-affinity synaptic vesicle protein 2A ligand and analog of levetiracetam indicated for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients with epilepsy.
Studies of Briviact have shown it significantly lowered the frequency of partial seizures as compared to people taking a placebo or inactive drug.

The most common side effects include: sleepiness, feeling sedated, tired, dizziness, headache, nausea, and vomiting.

 

Who should not take Brivaracetam?
People who have had a hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to Briviact or an inactive ingredient in the drug should avoid using it again.

Brivaracetam Dosin:

Typical dosing instructions:	The dose usually begins at 50 mg twice a day. It can be lowered to 25 mg twice a day for slower increases. The dose can be increased gradually to 100 mg twice a day.
People with impaired or altered liver function are given lower doses.	The dose usually begins at 25 mg twice a day. It may be increased to 75 mg twice a day.
